Job Overview

We are hiring a Data & Analytics Manager to lead and manage enterprise-level data architecture, analytics, and migration initiatives across fintech and digital banking platforms.

Locations

Antananarivo (Madagascar) • Islamabad (Pakistan) • Dar es Salaam (Tanzania)

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in:

  • Data engineering
  • Data architecture
  • Data delivery roles

• At least 3 years of experience in fintech, mobile money, digital banking, or telecom
• Hands-on experience owning enterprise data architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical data models)
• Proven experience leading data migration in large-scale platform deployments (preferably core wallet or core banking systems)
• Experience setting up analytics, business intelligence (BI), and regulatory reporting on new core platforms
• Experience working across African markets, preferably multi-country
• Strong understanding of data protection and reporting regulations

Key Responsibilities (Your Challenges)

• Own and maintain current-state data architecture across legacy wallet and banking platforms, including:

  • Data models
  • Data flows
  • Interfaces and data lineage

• Design and maintain target-state data architecture across:

  • Core wallet platform
  • Ecosystem systems (LMS, payment gateways, card management, agent management, KYC/AML, GL, reporting)

• Define and execute end-to-end data migration strategies, including:

  • Data profiling
  • Extraction, mapping, transformation, and cleansing
  • Data loading and reconciliation
  • Parallel run, cutover, and rollback

• Establish data quality frameworks and KPIs:

  • Completeness
  • Accuracy
  • Consistency
  • Timeliness
  • Uniqueness
  • Validity

• Define and enforce data protection standards:

  • Encryption (at rest and in transit)
  • Key management
  • Data masking and tokenization
  • Secure handling of PII and financial data

• Ensure smooth handover of BI/analytics tools and processes to BAU (Business-As-Usual) teams
• Manage data migration teams and third-party vendors:

  • Ensure delivery against SOWs
  • Meet SLAs and quality standards
