JOB PURPOSE

Bravo Group is seeking an experienced, commercially minded and technology-driven Fleet Manager to lead fleet operations supporting one of its newly established dry ports.

The role will ensure vehicle availability, efficient utilization, cost control, safety and reliable delivery through effective fleet management and digital systems.

SCOPE OF ROLE

Management of daily fleet deployment, drivers, dispatch, routing, fuel, maintenance, regulatory compliance and incident response for dry port operations, supported by performance reporting, telematics, automation and fleet analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the dry port’s fleet operations, ensuring maximum vehicle availability, utilization, productivity and reliability.
• Plan and coordinate daily vehicle deployment, dispatch, routing and delivery schedules supporting ICD, CFS and Bulk Terminal operations.
• Manage drivers and fleet personnel, including shift planning, performance, discipline, productivity and compliance.
• Monitor all fleet movements through GPS and digital fleet management systems, ensuring real-time visibility and control.
• Develop and monitor key fleet performance indicators, including vehicle utilization, trips per truck, turnaround time, kilometers travelled, idle time and cost per trip or kilometer.
• Establish strong fuel management and control systems, monitor consumption by vehicle and driver, investigate abnormal consumption and prevent fuel leakage or misuse.
• Develop and enforce preventive maintenance programs to maximize fleet availability and minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Monitor tyres, spare parts, repairs and maintenance costs, and establish strong controls over fleet-related expenditure.
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers comply with applicable licensing, insurance, inspection, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Establish strong driver-performance monitoring covering speeding, harsh driving, unauthorized stops, excessive idling, route deviations, accidents and fuel efficiency.
• Coordinate container and cargo deliveries between the dry port, customers, port facilities, container depots and other logistics locations.
• Work closely with Operations to minimize truck turnaround time, waiting time and empty or unproductive kilometers.
• Lead accident, breakdown and fleet incident management, including investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management dashboards covering fleet availability, utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance, downtime, driver performance, safety and operating costs.
• Drive Bravo Group’s digital transformation agenda within Fleet Operations, including GPS and telematics, automated dispatch, electronic trip management, fuel monitoring, digital maintenance scheduling, driver-performance analytics and real-time fleet dashboards.
• Use operational data to continuously improve fleet productivity, cost efficiency, safety and customer delivery performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Expertise in Transport and Logistics, Fleet Management, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in fleet or transport management, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong experience managing commercial trucks and heavy vehicles.
• Experience in container transport, ports, ICD/CFS, dry ports, bulk terminals or logistics operations is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, fuel management, transport costing, driver management and road safety.
• Experience with GPS, telematics, fleet management systems, digital dispatch and fleet analytics will be a strong advantage.
