Job Purpose
To develop, manage, and strengthen strategic SME partnerships that support business growth and capacity-building initiatives for SME customers and staff managing SME business, with the aim of enhancing portfolio sustainability.
Principle Responsibilities
- Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships for the onboarding and implementation of bank guarantee schemes, from origination through execution of partnership agreements and ongoing relationship management.
- Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships aimed at securing technical assistance, funding, and capacity-building support for SME customers and staff managing SME business portfolios.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with all business partners supporting the SME portfolio to ensure effective collaboration, compliance, and sustainability of partnership initiatives.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of compliance reports and other required documentation to external stakeholders and partners.
- Prepare and submit monthly partnership performance reports for all bank partners.
- Design and implement capacity-building programs for SME customers and staff, including technical training, study tours, mentorship initiatives, exposure learning, and certification programs.
- Coordinate training and professional development initiatives for Relationship Officers (ROs) and Relationship Managers (RMs), including Credit School and Relationship Management programs supported by partners.
- Ensure full participation and attendance of SME staff in all mandatory partner-funded training and development programs.
Qualifications Required
- Holder of a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, accounting, Banking, Economics, and/or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in sales of banking products.
- Proven leadership skills in people management, stakeholder engagement, and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- Self-motivated and innovative, with the capability to initiate and manage change.
- High level of reliability, flexibility, creativity, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and perform under pressure in dynamic environments.
