The mission of this role is to drive sustainable and profitable growth of the IAT and OFA business in Tanzania. As a Sales Engineer at Atlas Copco, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of industrial operations by acting as a trusted technical consultant. Beyond selling equipment, you will design the very “heart” of a factory, helping customers enhance energy efficiency and operational reliability through world-class compressed air technology.
Your Mission:
- Consultative Design: Guide customers through the technical design of compressed air systems, ensuring solutions are perfectly tailored to their unique industrial needs.
- Business Development: Proactively hunt for new opportunities and re-engage "drifted" accounts. You'll manage your own quote log and follow up relentlessly to turn interest into revenue.
- Relationship Management: Act as the face of the brand for key accounts, maintaining consistent contact and building long-term, sustainable partnerships.
- Technical Sales Support: Lead the charge at exhibitions and product demonstrations. You'll conduct on-site surveys to provide expert technical advice that builds trust and closes deals.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: From the initial "handshake" to the final Purchase Order, you'll ensure the integrity of the sales process-managing documentation, approvals, and contract reviews.
- Post-Sales Excellence: Ensure every customer receives gold-standard after-sales service, turning a single purchase into a lifetime partnership.
- Strategic Reporting: Maintain high-quality sales data (CRM) and provide insights on market trends, including lost-order analysis, to help us stay ahead of the competition.
Your Profile:
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background or any another related qualification with excellent sales experience.
- Excellent sales record from similar position with a minimum experience of 2 years in sales of high-quality industrial machines, and preferably air compressors.
- Adequate knowledge of using MS office tools is required.
- Good command of French and English languages is required
- Driver’s license - Compulsory
