Summary

Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam is seeking a passionate, people-focused, and results-driven Director of Operations to lead the hotel’s day-to-day operations and bring the Hyatt purpose of care to life through exceptional guest and colleague experiences.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Committee, the Director of Operations will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services, ensuring seamless operations, elevated service standards, and memorable experiences that reflect the Hyatt Regency brand promise. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and operational excellence while driving commercial performance and colleague engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably within luxury or upscale international hospitality brands.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire multi-functional teams while fostering a culture aligned with Hyatt’s values of empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing.
• Strong operational and financial acumen with experience driving guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and quality standards.
• Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional guest experiences through service excellence and attention to detail.
• An engaging and approachable leadership style with excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
