Operating currently from a transit facility in Bweleo while a permanent campus is being developed on the Fumba peninsula, the institution delivers world-class academic programs in fields such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Chemical Process Engineering. Students graduating from the campus receive official degrees awarded directly by IIT Madras, experiencing a curriculum taught by esteemed faculty from India alongside resident scholars.
The student body is remarkably diverse and multicultural, featuring significant representation from Tanzania and other African nations alongside international students. Admissions bypass the traditional Indian JEE entrance exam, utilizing instead a specialized screening test and personal interview structure tailored for global applicants.
