Job Overview

Simera Transport Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Transit Transport Driver to support its long distance and cross border transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting cargo across designated routes, maintaining vehicle records, complying with transportation regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries while upholding the company's safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate transit and long distance transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Transport goods across local and international routes in accordance with company procedures and transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate trip records, vehicle logs, and transportation documentation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips.
• Ensure cargo is transported securely and delivered on schedule.
• Comply with cross border transportation requirements and customs procedures.
• Report vehicle issues, delays, accidents, or operational concerns promptly.
• Maintain high standards of road safety and professional conduct.
• Follow company policies regarding vehicle usage, safety, and record keeping.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and relevant authorities when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Driving License (Class E or applicable category).
• Minimum of three years of experience in long distance or transit transportation.
• Valid passport.
• Good knowledge of cross border transport procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate trip and vehicle records.
• Good communication and problem solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to travel for extended periods.
• Clean driving and disciplinary record.
