Tanzania Mining Commission (TMC)

Tanzania Mining Commission (TMC) is the autonomous regulatory body in Tanzania established under the Mining Act 2010 (as amended by the Written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendment) Act 2017).

Its mandate is to regulate and supervise the entire mining sector in Tanzania including issuing mineral licences, overseeing mineral trade, enforcing health, safety and environmental standards, auditing mineral production, and ensuring that the country maximises economic benefit from its mineral resources.
