Anglican Diocese of Masasi Tanzania

The Anglican Diocese of Masasi is one of the 28 dioceses within the Anglican Church of Tanzania, situated in the Mtwara Region in the southern part of the country. Established in 1926 by the Universities' Mission to Central Africa, the diocese was carved out from the southern portion of the Diocese of Zanzibar, south of the Rufiji River.
