Head of Hospitality Department (HOD)

Role Overview

The Head of Hospitality Department (HOD) will oversee all hospitality operations, ensuring world-class guest experiences and operational excellence across Atara hotels and residences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services.
• Drive occupancy growth and maximize revenue streams (rooms, F&B, spa, gym, events).
• Implement quality assurance and service standards.
• Supervise and mentor hospitality staff.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on expansion and branding initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations and Atara’s premium standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in hotel or resort management.
• Strong organizational and people management skills.
• Proven track record in guest satisfaction and occupancy growth.
• Knowledge of the Tanzanian hospitality market preferred.
• Fluency in English
