Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will support the organization's financial accounting and reporting functions and ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly controlled.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Preparing bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
- Processing and reviewing financial transactions.
- Supporting budgeting and financial planning.
- Monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
- Supporting payroll and statutory payment processes.
- Maintaining proper financial documentation.
- Supporting preparation for internal and external audits.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Supporting inventory and cost accounting activities.
- Providing financial information to management when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA(T) or equivalent professional qualification is required.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing company is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of tax and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High level of accuracy and integrity.
