Mikoko Development Foundation (MDF) is a Tanzanian non-governmental organization focused on environmental conservation, youth empowerment, education and climate action. MDF leads major initiatives like mangrove rehabilitation through its Mangrove Rehabilitation Project it aims to restore coastal ecosystems by planting millions of mangrove trees. It also runs the Young Environmental Scientist (YES) program, which empowers youth with science, technology, nature-based learning, and life-skills training
