Tanzania Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TEITI)

Tanzania Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TEITI) is a national oversight initiative in Tanzania established to promote transparency, accountability and good governance in the country’s extractive sector (mining, oil, gas). It is the Tanzanian chapter of the global Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

TEITI brings together multiple stakeholders government, extractive-industry companies and civil society organisations via a Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) that supervises the implementation of reporting, reconciliation of payments by companies and revenues received by government, and dissemination of information to the public.
