UONGOZI Institute

UONGOZI Institute, officially known as the Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development, is a regional leadership development hub based in Tanzania. Established in 2010 through a partnership between the Governments of Tanzania and Finland, the Institute operates under the Office of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The Institute's mission is to inspire and equip African leaders to deliver inclusive and sustainable solutions for their nations and the continent at large. It focuses on enhancing leadership capacities in three key areas:

• Personal Leadership: Developing self-awareness, ethical grounding, and personal effectiveness.
• People Leadership: Strengthening interpersonal skills, team-building, and stakeholder engagement.
• Organisational Leadership: Improving strategic decision-making, governance, and institutional performance.
