Overview
Kaliua District Council is the local government authority administering Kaliua District in Tabora Region, western Tanzania. Established on March 2, 2012, and fully operational from August 14, 2013, it was carved out of Urambo District to improve governance and service delivery in a previously underserved area. Covering a vast area of approximately 14,050 km², which represents nearly 18.8% of the total land area of Tabora Region, the district includes around 1,500 km² of actively cultivated farmland and over 12,000 km² of forested land, rangelands, and wetlands.
