Overview
Nanyumbu District Council is the local government authority overseeing Nanyumbu District, one of nine districts in Mtwara Region, southern Tanzania. The council was legally established under the Local Government Act (1982) and officially launched via Government Gazette No. 190 on 1 July 2007, with its administrative centre in the town of Mangaka, located approximately 54 km from Masasi on the Mtwara Songea road.
