Overview
Nyang’hwale District Council is the local government authority responsible for administering the rural district of Nyang’hwale District in the Geita Region of Tanzania. The council oversees public services, infrastructure development, education, health care, water and sanitation, and local economic activities across its jurisdiction. The district was established in 2012 when it was separated from a larger district and became part of Geita Region. Its administrative centre is the village of Kharumwa, and as of the 2022 census the district had a population of approximately 225,803 people.
