Panthera Corporation Tanzania refers to the Tanzanian branch of Panthera, an international conservation Non-profit dedicated to safeguarding wild cats and their habitats.

Founded in 2006 by Alan Rabinowitz and Thomas S. Kaplan, Panthera is headquartered in New York City and operates globally including in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Their mission: to conserve all 40 wild cat species through science-based strategies, field programs, partnerships, and grants.

In 2025, Panthera formally registered as an international NGO in Tanzania. The Tanzania office supports the western conservation landscape by partnering with Tanzanian authorities and NGOs. Its role includes funding, logistics, and technical support for wildlife protection and monitoring. Notably, their work includes supporting the Tanzania Wildlife Authority (TAWA)
