Overview
The Zanzibar Institute of Accountants, Auditors and Tax Consultants (ZIAAT) is a body corporate established by Act No. 07/2022 of the Zanzibar House of Representatives, legally mandated to regulate, supervise, and promote the accounting, auditing, and tax consultancy professions in Zanzibar. Operating under the President’s Office, Finance and Planning, ZIAAT sets professional standards, registers members, and issues practicing licenses.
