Overview
UN Women, officially known as the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, is the UN organization dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering women worldwide. Established in July 2010, UN Women consolidates the efforts of four previously distinct parts of the UN system that focused exclusively on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
