Overview
Urambo District Council is the local government authority administering Urambo District in Tabora Region, Tanzania. Its mandate, defined under the Local Government Authorities Act, includes guiding economic, social, and industrial development; collecting and managing local revenues; making by-laws; and coordinating development plans for its villages and townships. The district has a population of about 260,322 (2022 census) and its economy centers on agriculture, livestock, wildlife, trade, beekeeping, and some mining.
