Job Description

    •  Compile financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.) that meet local audit requirements.

    • Responsible for declaring various Tanzanian taxes i.e VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax(WHT)and proficient in operating the iTax filing system.

    • Control tax risks and optimize tax planning (e.g., application for export tax refunds, implementation of preferential tax policies.

    • Comply with foreign exchange control requirements ofthe Bankof Tanzania (BOT); handle the accounting of foreign exchange income and expenditures (e.g., settlement of export income, application for import foreign exchange payment) to ensure compliance of foreign exchange business.

    • Timely compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financialstatements,coordinate and resolve  issues during the audit process to ensure the audit report is submitted to TRA and BRELA on time.

    • Guide the finance team in accounting, tax declaration, make sure compliant retention of financial vouchers and account books.

    • Familiar with the tax laws and tax incentives in Tanzania, update the latest tax policies immediately. Bachelor’s degree or above; Taxation major is preferred.

    • At least 3 years of finance-related work experience; must be familiar with Tanzanian tax system standards and Tax declaration, experience in Chinese-funded logistics, trade or manufacturing  enterprises.

    • Proficient in Tanzania’s tax system (VAT, Corporate IncomeTax(CIT), PAYE, WHT, etc.).

    • Possess practical capabilities in independently compiling financial statements, handling tax declarations, responding to tax audits, and coordinating audits.

    • Fluent in both English and Swahili (listening,speaking, reading,and writing) required for communicating with local tax authorities, auditors, and banks.

    • No financial violations record, must provide work certificate from the previous employer and a certificate of no criminal record.
