Education, Experience, and Location

  • Master degree School of Business and Marketing / other related fileds (Masters Preferred)
  • 7 to 10 years of commercial experience in FMCG, with 3 – 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Your Profile (Skills and Experience)

  • Strong sense of strategy, method, and organization.
  • Proven ability to analyze markets, identify opportunities, and develop commercial strategies.
  • Skilled in managing sales operations, business development, and client relationship management.
  • Proficient in office automation tools and digital platforms to support commercial activities.
  • Solid leadership and people management skills with experience in building and motivating high performing teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure with resilience, rigor, and adaptability.
  • Initiative-driven with excellent problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Outstanding negotiation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are an advantage.

Your Challenges (Core Responsibilities)

  • Translate strategic recommendations into actionable commercial initiatives and oversee the major stages of execution.
  • Continuously monitor the FMCG market, analyze competitor strategies, and ensure insights are shared effectively across brand sales, creative, and production teams.
  • Commission or conduct additional market research to identify trends, customer behaviors, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop and formalize commercial and communication plans, ensuring clarity through well-prepared specifications.
  • Coordinate the collection of essential elements required for the development of promotional and communication materials.
  • Oversee and manage the creative and production process to ensure timely and impactful market execution.
  • Ensure rigorous activity reporting, track sales performance, and monitor budgets to optimize resource allocation.
  • Study and internalize the brand universe, ensuring that all commercial activities align with brand values and objectives.
  • Deeply understand and master the characteristics, needs, and behaviors of the target customer segments.
