Job Description

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas operator, WRS is seeking a highly experienced Delivery Package Manager to lead the delivery of complex construction scopes related to plant buildings, piping, structural steel, and E&I systems. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to a leader who thrives in remote and fast-paced field environments, with strong technical, coordination, and contractor management skills. The position will be supporting the construction of a large pipeline and terminal/jetty project.

The role will be offered on a 12 month contract, rotating 8 weeks/2 weeks at site, paying a day rate in USD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the execution of a specific construction package from mobilization through to commissioning and handover.
  • Oversee contractor performance on-site—particularly Chinese EPC contractors—ensuring compliance with HSE, quality, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces between engineering, construction, quality, logistics, and commissioning teams.
  • Drive weekly/monthly planning activities with a focus on milestone delivery.
  • Resolve technical and field execution issues related to buildings, piping, structural, and E&I works.
  • Monitor and enforce project standards, including compliance with BS, EN, and regional building codes.
  • Liaise with project controls for reporting, change management, variation evaluation, and documentation.
  • Support workforce planning, logistics, and camp coordination in a challenging remote setting.
  • Ensure construction activities are aligned with project schedules, safety expectations, and contractual deliverables.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in construction, mechanical, electrical, or related field.
  • 20+ years of construction and design experience in major oil & gas or industrial projects.
  • At least 15 years specifically in plant or technical building construction.
  • Strong expertise in piping, structural steel, and E&I systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing large EPC contracts, including Chinese contractors.
  • Deep understanding of building services systems such as fire protection, security systems, HVAC, and control instrumentation.
  • Proficient in navigating complex project environments involving multiple packages and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English; prior experience working in multicultural and remote environments preferred.
