Job Description

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for delivery of projects or engagements in Financial and Non-Financial sector that will include helping the businesses realise the value they can gain from their IT investments, supporting strategy and being a key growth driver. As part of a high-performing team, you’ll deliver exceptional client service providing advice on how technology enablement, digital transformation and enterprise intelligence contribute to performance improvement, as well as how IT can act as multiplying effect during major program transformations. Additionally, they will follow project standards within established timeframes and at defined quality levels, and ensure projects are completed according to schedule and client specifications. This position is client-facing and requires travel to the client site as the project/ engagement warrants. The work performed is typically moderately complex.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a consultant to join our Technology Consulting team

Key Responsibilities:

Your deliverables as Consultant (Senior) in Technology transformation will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Development of project plans, schedules, and dashboards aligned to project management methodology
• Participate in requirements gathering, business analysis, and documentation activities across project phases.
• Be involved in technology transformation projects: contribute to system implementations (PMO, change management, process design, parameterization, test management, migration, training)
• Monitor project progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Interact with clients to provide them insights and possibilities within their domain to help shape and craft their transformation journeys and to determine the project requirements and needs analysis.
• Establish and/or assist client with controls based on client’s business practices and processes; recommend best practices; review setup with clients and gain client acceptance.
• Assess and report risks during project and participate in the development and implementation of mitigation plans.
• Communicate project scope, status, and risks to all stakeholders. Ensure strong stakeholder communication including minutes, status updates, presentations, and workshops.
• Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project related activities.
• Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards.
• Follow established project management standards.
• Provide activities related to the management of assigned implementation projects to bring the project to a timely close and transition the client appropriately.
• Complete post-implementation tasks in a timely manner.
• Update internal documentation as applicable.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for clients in accordance with pre-defined standards and procedures.
  

Required Experience:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the project management
• Client facing service experience required. Engagement across stakeholders and ability to run information gathering and sharing sessions
• Experience with various project management disciplines preferred
• Demonstrates understanding of scope, schedule and planning, understanding of time management, resource management cost management. Possesses good project management skills
• Experience of working in large programs of work
• Experience creating, executing, and amending project plans for large, complex projects
• Experience applying formal project management methodologies and disciplines to manage large, complex projects
• Experience with Core Banking Transformation programs will be an added advantage
• Certified associate in project management (CAPM) / PMBOK / PRINCE 2 / Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL will be an added advantage
• Exposure to core transformation journeys at a variety of levels (management, design, implementation) will be an added advantage

• Strong understanding of IT governance, System Development Life Cycle (Waterfall, Agile), and data migration processes.
• Knowledge of IT risk management, IT standards and policies formulation
