Job Purpose
The Project Manager – Data Transformation will be responsible for leading and coordinating digital transformation initiatives across the organization. The role focuses on ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while promoting agile methodologies and driving innovation. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to manage project portfolios, optimize resources, and support the organization's data-driven transformation agenda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain Project Management Office (PMO) standards, frameworks, reporting structures, and governance processes.
- Manage and monitor digital project portfolios, ensuring projects are aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
- Develop detailed project plans using Microsoft Project Professional and monitor project performance through Enterprise Project Management (EPM) tools.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and scope requirements.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, implementing mitigation plans where necessary.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of agile methodologies across digital teams, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives when required.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and successful project execution.
- Organize and lead project meetings, conference calls, workshops, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Prepare and present project status reports, performance updates, and recommendations to management and project committees.
- Monitor project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to improve project outcomes.
- Ensure effective communication between project teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives across multiple business units.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and delivery practices.
- Ensure proper documentation of project activities, decisions, lessons learned, and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams to encourage high performance and accountability.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, and ITIL Foundation are required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Project Management or commercial roles.
- At least one (1) year of experience working within the telecommunications industry.
- Azure Fundamentals certification or related cloud certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience managing large-scale digital transformation initiatives across multiple business functions is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Enterprise Project Management (EPM) tools.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, digital platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and modern product delivery models.
- Proficiency in project reporting tools such as Power BI, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative approaches.
