Job Description
Electrical, Instrument & Telecoms Package Site Rep - Tanzania
WRS are seeking an experienced EITS Site Representative to act as the on-site focal point for the Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecoms, and Systems (EITS) package on a major pipeline project. This role is critical in supervising, coordinating, and ensuring safe and timely execution of all installation, hook-up, testing, and handover activities associated with the EITS scope of work.

- 12-month renewable contract with potential for extension.
- Rotation: 8 weeks on / 2 weeks off, site-based in Tanzania.
- USD day rate, paid per day worked.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site representative for all EITS package activities.
- Interface daily with construction teams and contractors to ensure proper execution of installation, hook-up, testing, and handover.
- Supervise and monitor contractor activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Verify that contractor resources, tools, and calibrated equipment are sufficient and properly deployed.
- Maintain detailed follow-up of EITS activities, including inspections, audits, and system walk-downs.
- Monitor preservation, storage, and calibration of EITS equipment in accordance with vendor and project requirements.
- Review contractor reporting on progress, manpower, and compliance, and validate corrective actions where needed.
- Support timely preparation and completeness of handover documentation for commissioning.
- Escalate technical or interface issues and ensure coordination with engineering teams.
- Report progress, risks, and milestones to the Package Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Technical degree in Electrical, Telecoms, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent professional background.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in site supervision of electrical, telecom, and/or instrumentation works on oil & gas, energy, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning practices.
- Proven ability to supervise contractors and manage multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and safety-driven mindset.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Familiar with international standards and industry software (MS Office, Visio, etc.).
