Summary
The U.S. Mission in Tanzania is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Health Administrative Specialist in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) office.

Duties
This position serves as the Public Health Administrative Specialist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Tanzania’s Global Health Security work.
The successful candidate will support the Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) with a focus on:
- Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) management.
- Partner management.
- Operational budgeting and finance.
- Program support.
- Office administration.
The position also serves as a liaison between the Management and Operations (M&O) teams at post and designated headquarters (HQ) points of contact.
The successful candidate will establish and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders including:
- National government focal points.
- Implementing partners.
- CDC Tanzania staff.
- Other U.S. Government agencies within the Mission.
- Headquarters-based subject matter experts.
- Extramural partners.
Requirements
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain:
- Security Certificate.
- Medical Certificate.
All selected candidates will also be subject to:
- Background investigation.
- Pre-employment medical examination.
The selected candidate must be able to begin work within a reasonable period after receiving agency authorization and required clearances or certifications. Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of the employment offer.
Education Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Health, International Development, or a related field.

Experience

- Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative management experience in a public health or international development environment.
The experience must include:
- Administrative management of acquisitions.
- Grants administration.
- Contract administration.
- Cooperative agreement documentation and reporting.
- File management.
- Experience working with external clients.

Language Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking, Reading, and Writing in English.
- Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking, Reading, and Writing in Swahili.

Hiring Preference Selection Process
Hiring preference is extended to eligible and qualified applicants in the following order:
