Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at STELLARIX Tanzania

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud and network environments for Stellarix Tanzania.

The engineer will lead cloud adoption initiatives, optimize hybrid cloud and on-premises performance, and provide advanced technical support to drive organizational growth and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises data centers with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Implement and support cloud compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Develop, maintain, and version-control Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, or other automation tools.
• Support cloud migration efforts, including lift-and-shift, modernization, and hybrid deployments.
• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and secure remote access solutions.
• Monitor cloud and network performance. Perform capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning of cloud and network resources.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
• Manage replication processes, continuity procedures, and regular DR testing.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, network diagrams, topology maps, and standard operating procedures.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in cloud engineering, network engineering, or related infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall technologies.
• Solid experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Proven experience managing technical projects from planning through execution.
