Job Description
Develop monthly transportation plans for the fleet, rationally allocate capacity based on cargo type and vehicle attributes (flatbed/tanker);
Lead the optimization ofcross-border transportation routes from Tanzania to Zambia andDRC, avoiding road risks and customs clearance delays, ensuring the safe and successful delivery of transportation tasks.
Build and manage the dispatch and driver teams (assist HR with recruitment), define clear job responsibilities and performance standards
Organize regular team training covering cross-border transportation processes, safety protocols, and enhancing team professionalism.
Liaise with customers, bonded warehouses, customs clearance agents, and destination recipients, compliance risks.
Lead the handling of major anomalies during transportation, including vehicle breakdowns, route blockages, customs clearance issues, cargo damage, etc.
Focus on reviewing transportation documents (truck number, ESEAL, cargo manifest,customs documents, etc.) to ensure information accuracy and avoid cross-border
Coordinating all stages including cargo loading,in-transit tracking,and unloading confirmation.
Develop contingency plans and coordinate internal/external resources (maintenance providers, TRA, Police) for rapid resolution, minimizing losses. processing training, fatigue driving control, tanker truck transportation standards, etc., aiming for zero annual safety incidents.
Formulate and implement fleet safety management systems, including driver safety
Establish and maintain full lifecycle management records for flatbed and tanker trucks, coordinate regular vehicle maintenance, repairs, annual inspections, and insurance
Statistically analyze fleet operational data(transport volume, transit time, costs, fuel consumption, vehicle breakdown rate, etc.), generating weekly/monthly operational reports
Provide suggestions for capacity optimization, cost control,and process improvements based on data analysis to support company decision-making. channels for quality resources.
Maintain long-term relationships with local fleet partners, customs clearancecompanies,maintenance providers, fuel stations, and counterparts in Zambia and DRC, expanding Cooperate with the Finance department to complete transportation cost verification and settlement, ensuring clear accountability of payments.
Familiarity primarily with SINOTRUK and FAW brand tractor heads, and CIMC brand trailers Understanding of the vehicle registration process, licensing procedures in Tanzania, and necessary documentation required for road operations.
