Your Next Career Opportunity – Manager, Data & IT
The Manager, Data & IT will be responsible for the management and data administration of all core systems.
Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, they will work closely across all Minara departments and SBA IT executives. The role is responsible for maintaining the systems, administration, and data integrity and constantly seeking to enhance functionality and improve all systems. The role will also support the business by creating/re-engineering processes, workflows, and procedures.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the TOAD database to ensure its optimized operation for users – including the integrity of data upload and provision of query/reporting facilities within a Business Intelligence (BI) layer.
- Accomplish IT staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Develop/manage IT personal growth opportunities E.g., training, career development plans, etc.
- Manage the Smartsheet applications portfolio – assisting the creation of applications, working with Business Owners to create requirements and the Smartsheet Architects, monitoring the applications’ performance, and supporting the users.
- Work with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) to communicate the status of all systems and data issues to SBA IT and relevant departments.
- Work with CDO on implementing any SBA-prescribed systems.
- Work with Minara business partners – particularly in the operations space, to enhance field operational systems and reporting.
- Work with the ICT Co-Ordinator to ensure optimal performance of systems.
- Work with all departments to create new business processes/procedures and re-engineer existing ones. (interpret and explain complex data to stakeholders (employees) to carry everybody along and for clarity and verification.
- Advise on new technology systems.
- Evaluate proposed new systems.
- Overseeing the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
- Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
- Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
- Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
- Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science
- and 5+ years in a related role. Experience with ERP systems and Smartsheets
- Excellent experience with Business Process Mapping
- Excellent knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
- Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
