Job Description

Palmpay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria and expanding to other markets in Tanzania. It is reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online. It is seeking for a proactive and results-driven Operations Specialist will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations. This role involves coordinating processes, analysing performance, and supporting cross-functional teams to achieve efficiency, compliance, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimize daily operational workflows across departments
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation for compliance and auditing
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Collaborate with finance, HR, and other teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Track KPIs and prepare performance dashboards for management
  • Assist in vendor management, procurement, and inventory control
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in operations, administration or process management in fintech or banking industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ERP systems knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
