Senior Sales Executive - Import & Export of Agricultural Commodities | Tanzania

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Sales Executive to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our import and export business in Tanzania. You will be a strategic sales leader responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, negotiating and closing deals, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the entire supply chain. This role oers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on the company's success.
Responsibilities:
● Prospect and identify potential buyers and sellers of agricultural commodities in Tanzania and internationally.
● Develop and implement eective sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets.
● Negotiate and close sales contracts with customers, ensuring profitability and adherence to company terms.
● Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
● Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
and maintain a competitive edge.
● Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
● Stay up-to-date on import and export regulations, procedures, and
documentation requirements.
● Manage assigned budget and resources eectively.
● Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, preferably within the Tanzanian agribusiness sector.
● Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
● Strong understanding of the Tanzanian agricultural commodities market, including key crops, import and export regulations, and market dynamics.
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
● Fluency in English and Swahili, with strong written and verbal communication
skills.
● Experience in international trade, including knowledge of logistics,
documentation, and customs regulations.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to
prioritize tasks and work independently.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● A self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to
continuous learning.
● Ability to work eectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
● Familiarity with relevant agricultural trading platforms and software is a plus.
