Education, Experience, and Location
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in Procurement & Supply Planning, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within FMCG.
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

- Strong sense of method, structure, and organization in managing procurement and supply chain operations.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess data, forecast demand, and summarize insights for effective planning.
- Proficient in office automation tools and supply chain management systems.
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory planning.
- Skilled in people management with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
- Demonstrates rigor, adaptability, and resilience under pressure with the ability to anticipate and react to market changes.
- Initiative-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation, oral, and written communication skills to manage suppliers and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage.
Your Challenges (Core Responsibilities)
- Translate strategic procurement and supply chain recommendations into actionable plans, overseeing each stage of implementation.
- Continuously monitor supplier markets, analyze competitor strategies, pricing trends, and share insights with procurement, planning, and operations teams.
- Conduct or commission additional market research to identify reliable suppliers, evaluate risks, and forecast demand.
- Develop and formalize procurement and supply planning processes through clear specifications and policies.
- Coordinate the collection of essential information required for supplier evaluation, contract management, and demand forecasting.
- Oversee and manage the procurement cycle and supply planning process to ensure timely product availability.
- Ensure accurate reporting on supply chain activities, including performance tracking, compliance, and budget monitoring.
- Study and understand the company's supply chain ecosystem, ensuring procurement and planning strategies align with organizational goals.
- Gain a strong understanding of product categories, supplier capabilities, and customer demand characteristics to optimize supply chain performance.
