Role Description

This is a full-time role for a DevOps Engineer, located on-site in Kinondoni Municipal. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing system infrastructures, automating deployment processes, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with software developers and IT staff to oversee code releases. Day-to-day tasks will include building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes, ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats, and identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.

Qualifications

• Experience with system infrastructure management, automation, and deployment processes
• Proficiency with monitoring system performance and ensuring system security against cybersecurity threats
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and IT staff
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop software updates and fixes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS or Azure
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in a similar role or relevant industry certifications are a plus
