ICT Field Engineer at Flashnet Technologies Tanzania

Flashnet Technologies Ltd is seeking a skilled and proactive ICT Field Engineer to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure at client sites. This role requires strong networking knowledge, hands on experience with ICT equipment, and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network devices (routers, switches, access points, etc.).
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues onsite and remotely.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for new installations and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain structured cabling and related infrastructure.
• Provide support for IT services including internet, VoIP, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and service reports.
• Train end-users on systems and applications when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all job sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on field experience in ICT/network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Familiarity with hardware from major vendors (Cisco, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, HP, etc.).
• Experience with installing and supporting internet services and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Valid driving license is a plus.
