Job Description
Tanzania Medicines & Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) seeks to recruit competent, open-minded, result-oriented, and high-integrity Tanzanians to fill the following contractual vacancies for a period of one (1) year, renewable once upon successful performance:
- Post: Information and Communication Technology Officer II (ICT-Programmer) – (2) Posts
- Duty Station: TMDA Headquarters (HQ)
Duties:
- Program software using Laravel framework, ExtJs, MySQL.
- Demonstrate skills in mobile apps development.
- Participate in code reviews and software quality assurance.
- Assist in the design or improvements to web-based applications.
- Undertake web-based database administration.
- Perform any other task related to the field as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree from recognized institutions in one of the following fields: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Programming.
Working Experience:
- The candidate must have two (2) years’ experience in software development.

- Professional certificates from respective boards where applicable.
“Testimonials,” “Provisional Results,” “Statement of Results,” or Form IV and Form VI results slips will not be accepted.
Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
Job applicants already employed in entry-level positions in the public service should not apply.
