Job Description

PROJECT MANAGER DATA TRANSFORMATION

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, ICT, Engineering or any related field; Master's Degree is an added advantage
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in project management, with at least 3 years focused on data-driven projects (e.g., data warehousing, BI, or analytics)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of data transformation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Define project goals, technical requirements, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams (data engineers, scientists) and business units to ensure alignment
  • Monitor project progress, manage bottlenecks, and provide regular status updates to senior leadership
  • Oversee the implementation of new data architectures, migration strategies, and analytics platforms
  • Drive the adoption of data governance standards and quality frameworks within all project deliverables

COMPETENCES

  • Project Management: Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or MS Project)
  • Data Literacy: Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and vice versa
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
