Introduction

Huruma Aids Concern and Care is a non-governmental organization dedicated to implementing community-based programs and initiatives that aim to promote health and well-being by providing access to quality healthcare services, education, livelihood, gender & and inclusion in communities to children, youth, and women in Tanzania.

HACOCA is seeking proposals from registered entities with expertise in designing visual identity to support us in developing a comprehensive brand identity. As an organization committed to making a positive impact, we recognize the importance of a strong and compelling visual brand presence. We believe that an effective visual identity and seamless brand implementation will help us communicate our mission, values, and impact to various stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the communities we serve.

Requested expertise

We kindly request interested consultants to submit a detailed proposal outlining their approach and experience in the following areas:

  1. Brand Guideline: Develop a brand guideline for our organization that outlines the specific rules and standards for implementing the brand identity consistently across all touchpoints. This includes guidelines for logo usage, color palettes, typography, imagery, and tone of voice. The guidelines should be clear, user-friendly, and easily accessible to all relevant stakeholders within the organization.
  2. Visual Identity Development: We are seeking expertise in developing a visually appealing and impactful brand identity for HACOCA. Here are some essential elements that are expected out of the development:
  • Logo Design and Usage: Revise the organization’s existing logo and define guidelines for logo usage, including minimum size, clear space around the logo, and variations of the logo for different applications (e.g., color, black and white, stacked, horizontal).
  • Colour Palette: Specify the primary and secondary colors that represent the NGO's brand, along with their specific hex or RGB values. Provide guidance on color usage for various applications, such as web, print, and merchandise.
  • Typography: Select and specify the fonts to be used consistently across all communication materials. Include guidelines for headings, subheadings, body text, and any additional font styles.
  • Imagery: Define the style and types of imagery that align with the NGO's brand, including preferred subjects, composition, and tone. This can include guidelines for photography, illustrations, icons, or any other visual elements.
  • Brand Applications: Guide examples and specifications for applying the brand identity across various touchpoints, such as social media profiles, website design, print materials (e.g., brochures, posters), merchandise, event branding, and any other relevant applications.
  • Brand Collateral Templates: Support the design of templates for common brand collateral, such as business cards, letterheads, email signatures, PowerPoint presentations, and social media graphics. These templates should follow the brand guidelines to ensure consistent visual representation.
  • Brand Usage Examples: Showcase real-life examples of how the brand identity has been successfully implemented in different contexts. This can include mock-ups or images of branded materials, events, or campaigns.
  1. Social Media Branding: Guide the organization in implementing the brand identity consistently across various social media platforms. This includes providing recommendations for profile pictures, cover photos, and headers, and maintaining a consistent visual style and tone of voice in social media content.
  2. Website and Digital Presence: Advice on aligning the brand identity with the organization's website design, ensuring consistency in visual elements, and user experience. Provide recommendations for creating branded templates, layouts, and content guidelines. Help the organization optimize its website for brand consistency and user engagement.
