Job Description

The Finance Intern at TEN/MET is responsible for providing support to the finance department by participating in a diverse range of finance-related tasks. This role serves as an excellent opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Data Management:
    • Assist in collecting, organizing, and inputting financial data into our accounting systems.
    • Help maintain financial records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
  2. Analysis & Reporting:
    • Participate in financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities.
    • Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support the team in the budgeting process, including data gathering and preliminary analysis.
    • Contribute to financial forecasting efforts, under the guidance of senior finance personnel.
  4. Accounts Support:
    • Assist in reconciling account balances and bank statements.
    • Provide support in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and tracking.

 

  1. Audit & Compliance:
    • Aid in the preparation for external audits, including gathering and organizing required documentation.
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance with company policies.
    • Support in tax computations and returns

 

  1. Collaboration & Teamwork:
    • Collaborate with other departments, as necessary, to support financial projects and initiatives.
  • Any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts and principles.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
