Job Description
The Finance Intern at TEN/MET is responsible for providing support to the finance department by participating in a diverse range of finance-related tasks. This role serves as an excellent opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Management:
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and inputting financial data into our accounting systems.
- Help maintain financial records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Analysis & Reporting:
- Participate in financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the team in the budgeting process, including data gathering and preliminary analysis.
- Contribute to financial forecasting efforts, under the guidance of senior finance personnel.
- Accounts Support:
- Assist in reconciling account balances and bank statements.
- Provide support in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and tracking.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Aid in the preparation for external audits, including gathering and organizing required documentation.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance with company policies.
- Support in tax computations and returns
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other departments, as necessary, to support financial projects and initiatives.
- Any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
