Job Title: Logistics Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of logistics and supply chain activities to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products and services. The Logistics Officer will play a crucial role in optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Chain Management:

    • Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to distribution.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
    • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  2. Distribution and Transportation:

    • Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods to various locations.
    • Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
    • Liaise with transportation providers to negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
  3. Warehouse Management:

    • Supervise and manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
    • Implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage systems.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  4. Documentation and Compliance:

    • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, inventory, and logistics processes.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing logistics and transportation.
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the logistics function.
    • Implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  6. Communication and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
    • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, regulations, and best practices.
