Our client, a prominent company specializing in cement manufacturing in Tripoli, Libya, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join their exceptional team. 

THE JOB 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our cement manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting equipment failures, and implementing preventative maintenance activities. Your expertise in mechanical engineering principles and practices will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our plant machinery. 

 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 

 

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the cement manufacturing process. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential mechanical issues and then propose and implement corrective actions. 
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and optimize productivity. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and process engineering to improve manufacturing efficiency and overall plant performance. 
  • Analyze equipment performance data and conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring problems and develop long-term solutions. 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as technical manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance records. 
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to procure spare parts, equipment, and services as necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards. 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and maintenance staff. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in mechanical engineering and cement manufacturing. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

The job holder should have the following qualifications.  

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
  1. Proven experience (at least 11 years) as a Mechanical Engineer in the cement or similar heavy industrial manufacturing industry. 
  1. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, technologies, and practices. 
  1. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering software. 
  1. Solid understanding of equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis. 
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. 

 

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON 

We are offering the following for the successful candidate: 

  1. A competitive gross salary of 1000 – 2500 USD Per Month. 
  1. Overtime of 2.5 USD per hour. 
  1. Food and local allowance of 300-400 LYD (Libyan dinar). 
  1. Free accommodation and transport.
