The United Nations Department for Safety and Security (UNDSS) is a specialized department within the United Nations responsible for safeguarding UN operations, personnel, premises, and assets worldwide. Established on January 1, 2005, UNDSS unified earlier security structures under one centralized system to deliver consistent, professional safety and security services across all UN entities.
