Overview
The e‑Government Authority (eGA) is Tanzania’s public institution established under the e‑Government Act No. 10 of 2019. Operational since its inauguration, it replaced the former e‑Government Agency (active from April 2012) by consolidating its mandate to coordinate, oversee, and promote e‑government initiatives across all public institutions. Its responsibilities include enforcing relevant policies, laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines such as those governing digital services and infrastructure.
