Overview
Kyerwa District Council (Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Kyerwa) is the local government authority that administers Kyerwa District, one of eight districts in Tanzania’s Kagera Region, lying along the borders with Uganda and Rwanda. It covers approximately 3,086 km² and, as of the 2022 census, serves an estimated 412,910 residents across 4 divisions, 18 wards, 99 villages, and 674 hamlets.
