Overview
Mafinga Town Council, officially known as Mji wa Mafinga, is an urban local government authority established in 2013 under the Local Government (Urban Authorities) Act, carved out from Mufindi District Council. The council spans an area of about 953 km² on the southern Tanzanian highlands at an elevation of around 1,871 m, nestled between the Ruaha Swamp and rolling hilly terrain.
