Overview
Mbozi District Council is the local government authority managing the Mbozi District, which is located in the southwestern part of the Songwe Region in Tanzania. Headquartered in the town of Vwawa, the council oversees administrative, economic, and social development across the district’s multiple wards and villages. The local economy under the council’s jurisdiction is predominantly agrarian, with a heavy reliance on agriculture and livestock production particularly cash crops like coffee which sustains the vast majority of its population.
