Overview
Mkuranga District Council (Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Mkuranga) is the local government authority tasked with administering and developing Mkuranga District in Pwani (Coast) Region, Tanzania. Established in July 1995 when it was partitioned from Kisarawe District, it covers approximately 2,432 km², of which about 447 km² is part of the Indian Ocean, leaving around 1,985 km² of cultivable land.
