Overview
The National Prosecutions Service (NPS), known as Ofisi ya Taifa ya Mashtaka, is an independent public institution in Tanzania responsible for overseeing and conducting criminal prosecutions on behalf of the state. Established under the National Prosecutions Service Act, Cap. 430, the NPS plays a pivotal role in the administration of criminal justice across Mainland Tanzania.
