Overview
Wakulima Agri-Food Company Ltd (WAFCo) is a Tanzanian social enterprise and agribusiness dedicated to transforming the lives of smallholder farmers, especially women and youth, through inclusive agriculture, nutrition, and food processing. It is owned by groups of smallholder farmers and individual growers, and works with farmers in regions like Kagera (Bukoba, Muleba), Mwanza, and Geita. The company specializes in growing orange-fleshed sweet potato (OFSP) and pro-vitamin A maize, processes these into value-added nutritious flours (such as TAMA Nutritious Flour), purees, and other food products for maternal mothers, children, and broader markets.
